Network Management - The Future
Organisations with mission critical networks are demanding
ever higher levels of network availability and support.
However there is a limit to how fast a network support
engineer can reach site.
To bring the guaranteed response and fix times down
to below two to three hours, support teams must either
employ dedicated on-site resource, which can prove expensive,
or establish links with specialist support organisations
that have the resources, expertise and remote monitoring
and diagnostic tools to help them manage their networks.
Computrad's partnership with Trend Network Services
who have invested heavily in the skills and tools required
to manage multi-vendor network equipment, Wide Area
links and other key devices connected to the network
infrastructure (Unix Systems, Servers, Gateways etc)
all from their network management centre, running 24
hours a day.
These specialist tools are brought together to form
the Network Control Centre product which is used as
part of the new NetControl service.
This forms an integral part of the Network
Management area of the Operations Control Centre,
based at Loudwater.
