Consultancy and Engineering Days

Having gained a clear understanding of its customer's data networks through the provision of maintenance and support services, Computrad is able to assist in the strategic planning and development of those networks.

The division acts in an advisory capacity, offering independent consultancy services. Computrad will look at each customer's business and methods of operation and then identify and define the objectives. The next stage will be to document solutions which match those objectives and provide budgetary costs with quantifiable justifications. Computrad already offers consultancy days as an integral part of its network support contracts so that customers are able to maximise their investment in the relationship.

Computrad's knowledge and experience means that it is extremely well equipped to handle these consultancy assignments and provide the best, vendor independant, customised solutions.

Network Consultancy operates at four distinct levels:

  • Strategic consultancy providing a long-term network direction within a client's organisation
  • Network requirement analysis, e.g. feasibility studies and network reviews
  • Network design and planning
  • Tactical consultancy for specific network needs, e.g. complex troubleshooting

In addition, Consultancy can also cover the following areas:

  • Impact analysis (e.g. of new applications or business expansion and change)
  • Advice and guidance on technology
  • Network management advice, installation and configuration
  • Voice and data integration
  • Quality of service (QoS)
  • Business continuity

In addition, Computrad can provide engineering days for customers who require extra resources for day to day activities.

Engineering Days These days can be used for any network support needs including:

  • Moves and changes
  • Installation of equipment
  • Software upgrades
  • Configuration of new or existing network equipment
  • Testing and evaluation of network equipment
  • Documentation over and above that normally provided under the contract
  • Specific projects

The range of Specialist Services below are available either as 'stand-alone' services or as additions to NetCare, NetControl or NetSecure contracts
