The Nortel Security Element Manager provides a single point of administration for security devices such as Nortel's Switched Firewall, VPN Gateway, SSL VPN, Application Switches, WLAN Security Switches and related applications. It auto-discovers and displays multi-layer network topologies with corresponding status information and enables proactive management, problem solving, and capacity planning by providing real-time performance statistics.

The Security Element Manager provides a single interface for consistent administration across security devices or groups of devices (clusters). To enable comprehensive management and ease of use, the Nortel Security Element Manager integrates into the HP OpenView Network Node Manager.
