Device Management and Policy Control

The FortiManager family of centralized management systems is a centralized management system that seamlessly works with Fortinet’s family of multi-layered security solutions to provide coordinated policy-based provisioning, device configuration and update management, as well as end-to-end network monitoring and device control. FortiManager minimizes both initial deployment costs, as well as the ongoing operating expenses, to deploy, configure, monitor, and maintain a secure network. Role-based administration allows for defined user privileges only to specific management domains and specific functions. Device grouping enables collections of Fortinet security solutions to be aggregated into independent management domains to control administrative access and simplify policy deployment. Local hosting of updates to the threat signature and filter database minimizes threat response time and maximizes network protection.

FortiAnalyzer™ Appliances

Event Logging, Analysis and Reporting

The FortiAnalyzer family of real-time network logging, analyzing, and reporting systems are a series of dedicated network hardware appliances that securely aggregate log data from Fortinet devices and third party devices. A full range of log records including traffic, event, virus, attack, Web content, and email data may be archived, filtered and mined for compliance or historical analysis purposes. A comprehensive suite of standard reports are built-in, as well as the flexibility to customize unique reports. FortiAnalyzer also provides advanced security management functions such as quarantine file archiving, event correlation, vulnerability assessments, traffic analysis, and archiving of email, Web access, instant messaging and file transfer content.

FortiGuard Analysis and Management Service

On-Demand Centralized Logging, Reporting and Device Management

The FortiGuard Analysis and Management Service is a subscription based hosted service that is used in conjunction with FortiGate™ devices. The service allows customers to centrally manage their FortiGate devices and also provides customers with centralized remote logging and reporting capabilities. The FortiGuard Analysis and Management Service offers many of the features found in FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager platforms, but with no additional hardware to buy, install or maintain.
