Overview
The HP ProLiant DL140 G3 server is an affordable 1U, dual processor capable server equipped with essential performance features that provide customers with a platform to design a fully optimized solution. It is ideal for general purpose and high performance computing.
What's new
The new generation of the DL140 has an array of improved, robust features which sets it apart from prior generations and the competition. This 1U server is now available with the following technology enhancements: support for two new Quad-Core Intel® Xeon® processors, the X5365 for improved performance and the low-power L5335 for performance-per-watt efficiency.
Faster Performance
- Supports up to two Quad-Core Intel Xeon processors 5300 sequence with 8MB Level 2 cache or up to two Dual-core Intel Xeon processor 5100 with 4MB Level 2 cache, together with Intel 5000 Chipset
- Supports up to 32 GB PC2-5300 Fully Buffered DIMMs (DDR2-667) with Advanced ECC
- Two available PCI-Express slots on the Non-Hot Plug Models, Slot: 1 x16 full-height and Slot 2: x16 low profile. One available PCI-Express on the Hot Plug Models, Slot 1: x16 full-height and Slot 2 populated by the storage controller
- Optional risers to convert PCI-Express slots to PCI-X for legacy card support
- Optional: NVIDIA FX1500 and FX3500 PCI-Express x16 graphics cards for visualization clusters

- HP Lights Out 100i Remote Management with new licensed key activated upgrades for Virtual KVM and virtual media support
- IPMI 2.0 standard and SMASH CLP
