The Nokia IP40 enables full connectivity from remote to central offices via multiple network connection types. In addition to the
LAN port, it has an Ethernet port to enable customers to secure a wireless LAN or other computers on the same appliance without affecting a corporate
connection. It includes an AUX serial port for out-of-band management for dial backup remote configuration and troubleshooting.
The Nokia IP40 uses Nokia Horizon Manager, Check Point's SmartCenter and SmartLSM, and SofaWare's Security Management Portal for remote and
local management. This allows for quick staging, easy installation of additional systems or configuring and upgrading appliances without network
downtime. The console port is available for easy access via a Nokia command-line interface, for local management.
