Overview

Nortel Media Gateway 3500 connects up to 96 E1 or T1 spans (2,880 E1 voice channels or 2,304 T1 voice channels) to a packet network. It is controlled by a Communication Server 2000 or a Communication Server 2000 - Compact through the H.248 standard control protocol. It operates on redundant AC or DC power and requires 5 rack units mounting space.
