Overview

The Nortel Secure Network Access Switch (SNAS) 4050 delivers Nortel’s unified access policy functions (user/device authentication and posture assessment). The SNAS 4050 acts as a centralized “controller” that delivers unified access policy and admission control for wired, wireless and mobile users/devices. The SNAS 4050 is tightly integrated with network access elements such as Ethernet switches (Nortel and 3rd party), WLAN controllers and VPN Gateways to deliver flexible infrastructure enforcement options including both VLAN and/or access control list traffic filters.
