Encryption Plus Hard Disk |
Data protection at the lowest total cost of ownership of any competing product.
The data Protection Act has many different implications for businesses, especially those that store private and/or confidential data abouts clients and/or customers electronically. Many companies have begun to replace traditional desktops with laptops and with the rise of home working, security of the data stored on these PCs has become a major headache for IT departments.
Encryption Plus Hard Disk uses the AES algorithm with a 256-bit encryption key to protect entire hard drives. It provides 100% access control - to Windows NT/2000/XP, applications, and data.
Overview
Encryption Plus Hard Disk encrypts a computer's entire hard disk - not just the data, but also each sector of the disk drive if desired. It operates at the boot sector level and works on computers that run Windows XP, 2000, and NT.
The software encrypts all the sectors on a disk and then, in normal operation, loads a device driver that transparently decrypts the sectors as they are needed. Once a password is provided by an authorised user, program operations are performed 'on the fly' - the user doesn't even know it is there.
Encryption Plus Hard Disk has been engineered by experienced, world-class encryption experts to meet exacting standards. The program will withstand even extremely expensive attacks. Independent IT security laboratories have verified its performance. Today the software is Common Criteria EAL1 certified and undergoing EAL4 and Encryption FIPS 140-2 certification.
For organisations which require centralised management of their information security, Encryption Plus includes centralised administration features and other corporate functions.
Features
The newest version of this program is packed with extra features that enhance security.
. Full disk encryption, developed around the AES algorithm, with a 256-bit encryption key
. Encrypts any or all of up to eight partitions, based on user and administrator selections
. Gives administrators control over a variety of security settings including password length, expiration, and re-use
. Can recover from a variety of error conditions, including power loss
. Allows administrators to define whether an entire hard disk or only the data on the disk are encrypted
. Three choices for password recovery, including the unique Authenti-Check self-service option - cuts down on Help Desk calls

Encryption Plus Email |
Encryption Plus Email is an email data protection solution designed for large organisations that need the benefits of email security without the hassles and cost of PKI-based solutions. It features centralised administrative capabilities - including administrative key recovery, strong password management controls, and the ability to control user program settings - as well as a simple, peer-to-peer method of key exchange.
Overview
Among program users, encryption and decryption takes place on-the-fly after a simple public key exchange. Yet the program does not require key servers, Certificate Authorities, Registration Authorities, a "web of trust", or other resource-intensive elements of a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Key exchange, storage, and management take place on the individual workstations, subject to configuration parameters set by the administrator.
Recipients who do not have the software can decrypt protected messages as well. All they need is the password, which the sender provides out-of-band, and a computer running Windows 95 or later. Encryption Plus Email delivers fast, easy, and pervasive email encryption services that can be quickly deployed by large organizations at minimal expense.
Features
- Strong Standards-based Encryption
To protect data, Encryption Plus Email uses the AES algorithm with a 256-bit encryption key. The program also uses a 233-bit Elliptic Curve Cryptography algorithm to create public-private key pairs and protect the encryption keys. NEW in v3.07 - FIPS 140-2 compliance. This means that the product now complies with the US Government's cryptographic specification for protecting federal information systems. In the UK, the CESG website gives a recommendation to use FIPS to protect sensitive information Click Here for details
- Simple to Install and Use
Encryption Plus Email installs in minutes. It requires no training and very little change in the way users work. Users can easily change settings from within their email applications and do not have to change the way they send email.
- Simplified Public Key Management
Encryption Plus Email uses public-private key technology to allow on-the-fly decryption among users of the program - without key servers, Certificate Authorities, or a PKI. Users manage their public keys at their workstations with a graphical Recipient Manager.
- Recipients Don't Need Special Software
To decrypt and read encrypted files, recipients need only a password and a computer running Windows.
- Secondary Authentication
PC Guardian can integrate Secondary Authentication Technology (such as USB tokens or Smart Cards) into our encryption solutions. For example, we have successfully integrated Encryption Plus software with e-Tokens from eAladdin and proximity credentials manufactured by HID.

Encryption Plus CD-ROM |
Encryption Plus CD-ROM is ideal for a wide variety of secure publishing and information distribution applications. Protect confidential price lists, sales data, engineering data, technical support material, or other business information as you publish it on CD-ROM media for personnel in the field or in remote offices.
Encryption Plus CD-ROM is used by companies worldwide to secure everything from monthly brokerage reports to mass-mailed software demos that include an encrypted version of the full program for purchase
Overview
Transparently protect your data with a true on-the-fly decryption process. Other products that claim to be on-the-fly decrypt an entire file and load it into memory, creating significant security risks. Encryption Plus CD-ROM is smarter and more secure because it decrypts only the specific portion of a file that is in use.
Easy to Install, Administer, and Use Encryption Plus CD-ROM is unobtrusive and does not change the way the user works with CD-ROMs. Nor does it alter the way CD-ROMs are published, manufactured, or distributed.
Features
- Protects Your Data with a Powerful Algorithm Encryption
Plus CD-ROM uses the well-known and well-documented
Blowfish algorithm, a fast and strong block cipher
designed by Bruce Schneier. It features a 192-bit
key length that should be strong enough to withstand
a brute force attack by even the most determined opponent.
- Three Methods of Authentication In recognition of
the fact that different organizations have different
distribution models and security policies, Encryption
Plus CD-ROM allows administrators to choose from three
different modes of end user authentication:-
1) Password
2) Hardware and
3) Remote Activation
- Approved by the National Hi-Tech Crime Unit
- Control How Much of the CD-ROM You Encrypt The administrator can encrypt all or only some of the data on a CD-ROM. Encryption Plus CD-ROM automatically detects whether or not data is encrypted. Data that is not encrypted can be accessed normally.
